The Contingent forest guard yesterday in Kiptunga forest station Course Obstruction to the members of Fourth State Together with the members Ogiek  Community after they Were to Visit the scene of destruction where a Cedar tree of about more than 300 years that was Cut to fall down by the forest offenders.

This is pure evidence and truth that shows that the forest manager of kiptunga and their forest Guard are aware of what's happening about illegal logging in the forest.

The situation of the forest in Mariashoni forest station,Logoman and Bararget is not Good at all

Therefore members adjacent to the  forest are asking immediate intervention and transfer of the officers as well as replacement of other officers in order to Stop the massive destruction in kiptunga,Mariashoni and Bararget Forest station.

 Following recent action taken by the kenya goverment through ministry of forest lead by CS allowing some of the sawmillers to cut down the exotic trees and ferried to sawmill /companies, without involving Ogiek Community who are living around the forest, for comercial purposes and yet ogiek have been planting and providing security to this exotic trees since there forefathers to date.  Ogiek comunity who resides in mariashoni, where this activity is taking place have been complaining to the gorverment for consinderation yet no schools in kiptunga and the surrounding and they are watching there resourses being taken away by sawmillers/companies.
