The government used impersonators who pretended to be the council of elders from the Ogiek Community to mark the boundaries from the Sururu, Likia Mauche, Nessuit, and Mariashoni Bararget with aims To settle peoples from Bomet, Transmara, Kericho, and Baringo. The Ogiek community are living in worry that at the end of the exercises, they might end up losing their struggle in court, both local and regional courts, and losing their ancestral land.
