The exercise of marking the boundaries by the government in the East part of Mau has excluded the Ogiek Community. This shows that the right to access the information has been violated, Some of the beacons were installed inside bamboo forests, and they didn't consider social and environmental impact assessment . The government used impersonators who pretended to be the council of elders from the Ogiek Community to mark the boundaries from the Sururu, Likia Mauche, Nessuit, and Mariashoni Bararget with aims To settle peoples from Bomet, Transmara, Kericho, and Baringo.
